Nottingham Lions FC is a gay-friendly football club with players from across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
The club provides an environment where players and supporters can enjoy football regardless of their sexual orientation. Come and join in the fun - no ball skills necessary! The club was founded in May as Nottingham Bois Ball and in a short space of time has gained a number of honours. In addition to league fixtures, the club plays friendly games and five-a-side tournaments.
Training takes place in Nottingham on Sundays from 6pm-8pm, and we also have a mid-week 5-a-side kickabout on Tuesday evenings.
Welcome to our network
Membership of Nottingham Lions FC is open to both players and supporters. Membership is needed if you are to play for the club in any of their competitive fixtures, and also if you wish to vote in elections or at a club general meeting. You do not need to be a member to come along to training, although there is a slightly higher training fee for non-members.
There are other benefits to membership, including reduced away travel. The next two dates are September 24th and October 29th. Just ask reception for Ashfield Voluntary Action. Please note - for information about this drop-in, pop an email to info ashfieldvoluntaryaction.
Craft, book and board game social with ziggyhayter. Mondays pm - bring a craft project, a book or a board game of your choice, or choose from some of the ones we have in our space! The group consists of mostly gay men, and aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for anyone, LGBT or otherwise, who would enjoy socialising over a game of badminton.
Badminton Social attracts players with a wide range of badminton ability, including those looking to improve their game. Sessions will involve you partnering different people in a variety of doubles games. It's an opportunity to meet new people in a social context, make friends and get some exercise. Parking is available within the school grounds, accessed off Bramhall Road.
By public transport, take the 28 bus from the city and alight at Burnside Green.
