Here's some of what you have to look forward to: teen artists from Artists for Humanity will lead a collaborative art activity and following both performances all concert guests are invited to join event partners for a celebratory reception featuring a community sing.
Pride Houston® 365
A community sing is a powerful display of our shared humanity in which every voice is valued, no musical training or preparation is required, and the purpose is not perfection of performance but rather the power of the moment together. This piece is dedicated to the victims, and survivors, of hate crimes everywhere, and specifically to those at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando on June 12, Andrew and Hannah will teach the music so there's no need to prepare, but we can't help sharing this virtual performance recording made by our HHYC singers during the height of the COVID pandemic.
Read the Sheet Music. Today we live this mission through our pride and our music across chorus, orchestra, audience, students, community, and staff. We understand that a commitment to inclusion takes steady attention, and resources — and we want to share our work toward this with you. Learn More.
